Episode Summary & Review
Summary
When Voyager encounters some engineering problems, Neelix keeps the Borg children entertained with a ghost story about an electromagnetic life force that holds Voyager hostage while trying to make contact with Janeway and get itself home. It’s the story of an adventure the crew experienced several months ago with the ghost that lives on Deck Twelve.
Our Take
A fun framing device gives us Neelix spinning a spooky story for the Borg kids, and honestly, the campfire vibe mostly works. The actual alien plot is thin and you’ll guess the resolution early, but the atmosphere is decent and it’s nice to see the show play with tension instead of technobabble. A lightweight but pleasant hour, worth it if you like the kids.
