Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Former crew member Kes returns to Voyager in a state of rage, blaming Captain Janeway for her past. Using her expanded Ocampan powers in a fit of revenge, she travels through time to betray the crew to the Vidiians, an alien life form that will absorb the crew’s internal organs.

Our Take

Bringing Kes back just to turn her into a vengeful villain was always going to sting, and the episode never really justifies the character shift beyond a few rushed explanations. The time-travel mechanics are serviceable and the Vidiians make for a decent threat, but this mostly feels like a wasted reunion. Worth a watch for closure, but temper your expectations.
