Summary

Stardate: 53049.2 – Seven of Nine discovers that she was freed from the Borg collective once before with three other Borg drones when their ship crashed on a planet. She is also responsible for their reassimilation. Now, the three renegade drones stalk Seven because they are linked in their own “collective” and want to learn from Seven how to terminate their neural links and restore their individuality. Seven is willing to help.

Our Take

A quiet, character-driven hour that gives Seven one of her best episodes yet. Jeri Ryan does strong work opposite the three former drones, and the flashback structure fills in her Borg past without feeling like filler. The pacing is deliberate but never dull, and the ending lands with real weight. Worth your time even if you skip most Voyager episodes.
