Summary
An alien leader has the technology that could send the crew 40,000 light years closer to home — but refuses to share it with them.
Our Take
A solid episode that finally gives Harry Kim something to do, even if his romance subplot is pretty forgettable. The real meat is watching Janeway wrestle with the Prime Directive from the other side of it, and the crew quietly going behind her back feels earned. It drags a bit in the middle, but the ethical tension carries it. Worth your time.
