Summary
Captain Picard battles to rescue his son from a vengeful Ferengi whose own son was killed by Picard during the Battle of Maxia.
Our Take
This one never quite earns its premise, mostly because the “Picard has a son” reveal feels like it comes out of nowhere and the Ferengi villain is more shrill than threatening. Still, Patrick Stewart sells the paternal panic well enough to keep it watchable. A middling late-season hour that’s fine if you’re already deep in season seven, but skip it if you’re not.
