Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Spock proceeds with his quest for the reunification of Vulcan and Romulans even though he and Picard are suspicious of Romulan motives.
Our Take
The second half pays off the buildup nicely, giving us some genuinely great material between Spock and Picard, two men who rarely agree but clearly respect each other. The pacing sags a bit in the middle with the Data subplot, but the ending lands hard. Worth it for the closing scenes alone, which rank among the season’s best.
