Summary
Picard faces a child custody dilemma after the Enterprise rescues an orphaned human child.
Our Take
A quieter episode that leans on Patrick Stewart to carry the emotional weight, and he mostly does. The custody dispute at the center feels genuinely uncomfortable in a good way, with no easy villains on either side. It drags a bit in the middle when the arguments start repeating, but the ending lands well. Worth watching even if it’s not a season highlight.
