Summary
A space trickster traps the Enterprise crew in a soap opera as Pike mourns a lost life.
Our Take
This one splits itself in half and neither side fully lands. The soap opera parody gets some genuine laughs once you settle into its rhythm, but Pike’s grief storyline feels like it belongs in a different, heavier episode, and the tonal whiplash keeps both from breathing. Worth watching for the cast clearly having fun, just don’t expect it to hang together.
