Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Mariner enlists her friends on a rogue mission to exonerate her mother, as Captain Freeman faces a military tribunal for the destruction of Pakled Planet.

Our Take

A decent season opener that spends most of its runtime undoing the cliffhanger rather than moving forward. The crew’s rogue mission has fun moments, especially Rutherford’s enthusiasm, but the pacing sags in the middle and the resolution arrives too easily. Worth a watch for fans catching up, just don’t expect the show’s sharpest material right out of the gate.
