Summary
Boimler tries to find a bridge buddy while the U.S.S. Cerritos crew has down time during a long warp trip.
Our Take
A bold experiment that mostly pays off, splitting the hour between the Cerritos crew, a Klingon warship, and a Vulcan vessel, all with subtitles and no Starfleet hand-holding. The Klingon and Vulcan lower deckers are genuinely fun, and Tendi’s day off subplot sneaks in real warmth. It drags a bit when Boimler’s bridge-buddy hunt runs out of jokes, but the fresh POV makes it an easy recommend.
