Summary
The crew investigates a world within the Delphic Expanse with a civilization closely resembling America’s 19th-century Wild West. A previously unknown colony of humans is oppressing an alien race called the Skagarans. Archer becomes embroiled in a cultural conflict and sets out to learn how both races got there.
Our Take
A goofy premise that mostly gets away with it thanks to some committed production design and a decent performance from the guest cast. The Western trappings are fun for a while, though the morality play underneath is pretty thin and predictable. It’s a watchable filler hour, nothing more, and honestly a strange detour given how tense this season has been.
