Summary
Archer places Dr. Phlox in control of the Enterprise when the crew requires sedation to survive a trans dimensional disturbance. This mind altering section of the Expanse is lethal to humanoids. But Phlox’s Denobulan physiology doesn’t entirely shield him from its effects, causing hallucinations.
Our Take
A solid bottle episode that hands the whole hour to John Billingsley, and he earns it. Watching Phlox rattle around an empty, whispering ship works up some real unease, though the hallucination beats get repetitive before the end. The Archer scenes tip their hand early. Still, it’s a tense, character-focused hour and easily worth your time.
