Summary
The crew explores a jungle planet that’s been turned into a hunting ground by a race of stalkers called the Eska. They hunt indigenous creatures for recreation, one of which contacts Archer as a shadowy woman he imagined as a child.
Our Take
This one leans hard on a moody jungle atmosphere and Archer’s weirdly personal connection to a shapeshifting alien, and the results are mixed. The hunting-ethics debate gets some traction, but the mystery woman angle feels more silly than haunting. It’s a passable hour that looks better than it plays, worth a watch only if you’re already along for the season.
