Summary
While in unfamiliar territory, the U.S.S. Discovery crew is forced to get creative in their next efforts to survive opposing and unprecedented forces and return home.
Our Take
The mirror universe reveal finally pays off, and the show loosens up a bit as the crew scrambles to impersonate their evil counterparts. Sonequa Martin-Green gets the best material, especially opposite a menacing Michelle Yeoh, and the stakes feel real for once. Some of the posturing drags and the costumes go a little heavy on the leather, but it’s a solid setup hour. Worth your time.
