Summary
O’Brien, Dax, Dr. Bashir, and their runabout are reduced in size while investigating an anomaly. However, when the Jem’Hadar attack and commandeer the Defiant, the trio are left with no choice but to take their miniature runabout inside the Defiant to help Sisko and the others retake the ship.
Our Take
A genuinely silly premise that the show commits to fully, and that commitment is what makes it work. The miniaturized runabout flying through the Defiant’s corridors is pure Saturday matinee fun, and the Jem’Hadar scenes have a nice edge of menace. It’s lightweight, but it never pretends to be otherwise, and everyone clearly had a blast making it.
