Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Driven to desperation by the Dominion, the Maquis launch a massive strike against Cardassia. In order to prevent mass Cardassian casualities, Sisko is forced to trust the traitor Michael Eddington to try to stop the missiles from reaching their target.
Our Take
A solid Eddington payoff episode that works better as a character study than as a thriller. The missile chase is mostly an excuse to get Sisko and his least favorite traitor talking, and their scenes together have real bite. The ending lands with a quiet punch, though the Maquis subplot resolution feels rushed. Worth it for the banter alone, even if the stakes never quite feel urgent.
