Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Sisko obsessively pursues the former Starfleet officer Michael Eddington, now the leader of the Maquis.
Our Take
A tight, driven cat-and-mouse hour that puts Sisko’s morality on the chopping block, and Avery Brooks clearly relishes the chance to play his character rattled and unglued. Kenneth Marshall’s Eddington makes for a worthy adversary, and the two-hander tension mostly papered over the thin plot mechanics. The ending lands hard precisely because the show doesn’t flinch from what Sisko does to win.
