Episode Summary & Review
Summary
When Jadzia begins experiencing violent mood swings and hallucinations, a disturbing secret from Dax’s symbiont history reveals a much larger deception.
Our Take
Jadzia’s slow unraveling gives Terry Farrell her best material so far, and the Trill backstory is genuinely interesting once it kicks in. The problem is pacing: the first half repeats the same hallucination beats one too many times before anything actually gets explained. Still, the Sisko-as-guardian stuff lands, and the reveal is worth the wait. A solid character episode that could’ve trimmed ten minutes.
