Our Take
Nicolas Cage gets more room to work here, and the episode is better for it, leaning into the pulpy sadness under the noir shtick instead of just mugging through it. A couple of subplot detours stall the momentum, but the closing stretch lands hard enough that you forgive the wandering. A strong hour that finally gives the show some emotional weight.
