Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Hawkes is stranded on an alien world when he accepts an assassination assignment that’s supposed to buy him an immediate Honorable Discharge from the Marines.
Our Take
This is a quiet, almost wordless hour built around Hawkes alone on a hostile planet, and it’s a nice change of pace from the usual dogfight formula. The visuals carry a real sense of isolation and the flashback structure gives him some welcome depth. It drags in stretches and the assassination plot stays vague, but the moodiness mostly earns its patience. Worth it for Hawkes fans.
