Summary
Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by Skrulls.
Our Take
A slower, moodier premiere than Marvel usually attempts, and that restraint mostly works in its favor. Jackson sells Fury’s weariness well, and the Moscow sequence lands hard, but the pacing drags in the middle stretch. Promising setup if you’re okay with a spy thriller that’s light on action.
