Summary
During battle, Samurai Jack accidentally swallows a piece of darkness coughed up by a sickly Aku. When Aku’s blackness begins to take over the Samurai, he seeks help from Master Ning.
Our Take
A clever body-horror premise for a kids’ show, and the episode leans into it with some genuinely creepy imagery as the infection spreads through Jack. The Scotland-accented healing sequence is a fun tonal shift, though the resolution comes a bit too easily. Still, it’s one of the more memorable season four entries and moves fast enough that the thin plot never becomes a problem.
