Jack and the Haunted House

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Samurai Jack follows a little girl to return the doll she lost in the woods. She leads him into a haunted house filled with memories of the previous inhabitants.

Our Take

A short, nearly silent episode that trusts mood over dialogue, and it pays off. The haunted house visuals borrow from classic Japanese horror and look genuinely unsettling, with sound design doing most of the heavy lifting. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual fights and one of the season’s strongest half hours. Worth your time, easily.
