Our Take
Rick Potion #9 is the episode where the show’s mean streak turns out to be its greatest asset. The escalating disaster gets genuinely ugly in a way few comedies would dare, and the ending lands with real weight instead of a reset button. It’s a dark, funny half hour that earns its reputation, though the middle stretch of fix attempts does run a bit long.
