Summary
Lydia, worried that daughter Escapade missed her childhood, plans a “prom” promotional event for her new movie. Meanwhile, Ron schemes to impress a studio PR bigwig who could make or break Party Down.
Our Take
This one leans hard on Lydia’s maternal delusions and Ron’s career desperation, and the prom gimmick mostly just gives everyone an excuse to stand around in bad formalwear. There are a few good cringes, especially whenever Ron gets near the PR executive, but the jokes land spottier than usual. A middling half hour that fans can skip without missing much.
