Summary
Party Down works a surprise party for movie star Jack Botty thrown by his studio exec girlfriend Evie, which turns weird when the team sees something they shouldn’t have.
Our Take
A pretty solid outing that leans on the awkward-cringe register the show does best, and the cast sells the escalating discomfort well. The celebrity party setting gives Roman and Kyle plenty to bounce off each other, though the middle stretch repeats the same beat a few too many times. Not a classic, but it lands enough laughs to justify the half hour.
