Summary
Devastated by a tremendous loss, Ruth heads to Chicago to enact revenge as Marty tries to talk her out of doing something she may regret.
Our Take
A slow burn that mostly rides shotgun with Ruth on a road trip toward something terrible, and Julia Garner makes every quiet minute count. The tension comes from waiting rather than action, and it works because you genuinely don’t know if she’ll go through with it. Some scenes drag in the middle stretch, but the payoff lands hard. Worth your time.
