Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Stranded on a sinking boat, carefree Luffy begins his journey in search of a pirate king’s lost treasure. But first, he’ll need a crew, a ship and a map.
Our Take
A breezy, confident opener that gets Luffy’s infectious energy across without overexplaining the world. The CGI rubber limbs take some getting used to, and the pacing stumbles a bit as it sets up the season’s moving parts, but Iñaki Godoy sells the character hard enough to carry it. Worth your time if you’re curious about the property or just want a fun adventure setup.
