Summary
Finn decides to search for his real father, but things don’t turn out quite the way he expected. His attempts to impress Jess are even less fruitful, especially after she finally gets a date with Alex “the guy from the bar” who it seems is definitely not gay. Or is he?
Our Take
Finn gets the spotlight this week and mostly squanders it, with a dad-hunting storyline that lands a few decent gags but never builds to anything funny or surprising. The Jess and Alex subplot is a livelier distraction, though it coasts on charm more than actual jokes. A watchable but forgettable half hour that the stronger cast members can’t rescue.
