Summary
Joe continues her training with Cruz; her methods are questionable. Cruz starts to build a relationship with Aaliyah. Kate gets into a fight during her soccer game. Neal has to deliver difficult news to a patient.
Our Take
A slower, more uncomfortable hour that leans into the messy dynamics between Joe and Cruz, and Zoe Saldana sells the strain of juggling an impossible job with a family that’s starting to fray. The Cruz and Aaliyah scenes have real tension even if you can see where they’re headed. Worth sticking with, though it mostly sets the table.
