Episode Summary & Review
Summary
During a citywide blackout, Allison and Patty head to city hall to find Gertrude’s death certificate; the rest of the gang camps out in Bev’s; someone steals Kevin’s generator, and he’s going to solve the case.
Our Take
The blackout setting gives this one a nice change of pace, and Allison and Patty’s city hall trip has real tension to it. The Kevin generator mystery, though, is the same tired sitcom shtick the show keeps falling back on, and it drags down everything around it. A mixed hour that’s worth it mostly for the women’s storyline, if you can fast-forward through the rest.
