Summary
Dee and Dennis take the gang to their favorite childhood vacation spot on the Jersey Shore. Things aren’t quite as they remember them. Still, Mac, Frank and Charlie have the times of their lives; Dee and Dennis not so much.
Our Take
A rare episode where the gang’s misery and joy split perfectly down the middle, and both halves land. Charlie’s romance with the waitress and Mac and Frank’s boardwalk misadventure are genuinely sweet in that gross Sunny way, while Dee and Dennis get a deservedly bleak wake-up call. The shot-on-location grit helps a lot. One of the stronger season openers to a run of great episodes.
