Summary
The Madonna of Paddy’s? The gang seeks financial salvation when a leaky pipe at Paddy’s causes a water stain on the wall that resembles the Virgin Mary. Meanwhile, Dee has an awkward reunion with a priest who had a crush on her in high school.
Our Take
A solid mid-season episode that leans on the gang’s greed more than their cruelty, which softens some of the edges. The water stain gag gets predictable after a while, but Charlie’s sincerity about the “miracle” and Dee’s cringe-worthy history with the priest keep things moving. Not a season highlight, but the cast’s commitment makes it an easy, funny half hour.
