Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Charlie cheers on Frank at a local chess tournament against a Russian grandmaster. Dennis helps Mac and Dee find boyfriends after getting irritated by Mac’s current boyfriend, Johnny.
Our Take
The chess stuff works better than it should, mostly because Frank’s total commitment to the bit is funny even when the plotting around him is thin. The Dennis matchmaker storyline starts strong but runs out of jokes fast. A decent mid-tier episode with enough laughs to justify the runtime, though nothing here you’ll remember next week.
