Summary
News surfaces about Mac’s Dad, Luther, being a murder suspect. Mac goes into full “P.I.” mode to clear his father of any wrong doing.
Our Take
Mac’s detective fantasy is a solid hook, and the gang’s usual selfish swerves keep things moving, though this one leans harder on the running gag than on actual jokes. Some bits land, like the interrogation nonsense, while the Dennis subplot feels like filler. A decent mid-season episode that coasts on charm more than it should. Fine if you’re already watching, but not the one to convert anyone.
