Summary
The pub becomes an overnight success when the gang accidentally turns it into a gay bar. Elsewhere, Charlie tries to prove to a crush that he’s not racist after she catches him making an off color comment.
Our Take
A scrappy, surprisingly confident pilot that sets the show’s mean-spirited tone right away. Charlie’s desperate scramble to prove he’s not racist is the stronger storyline, while the bar plot mostly just marks time. The jokes land more often than they miss, even if the budget shows. Worth a watch, though the series gets much sharper from here.
