Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Monkey makes a name for himself as a hitman in New York City while Bryce tries to reconnect with his daughter. But all that changes when Haruka arrives with Bonsai Master’s sword.
Our Take
A strong season opener that picks up the momentum without missing a beat. The New York setting suits Monkey’s brutal, funny hitman routine, and Bryce’s awkward family reunion gives the episode some actual heart. The ending lands a proper gut punch that resets everything just when things were getting comfortable. Solid animation, sharp banter, worth your time if you liked season one.
