Summary
Smoothie and Hailey take a trip into the past; Sax hits rock bottom; Happy brought a cake.
Our Take
A grim, ugly hour that leans hard into Smoothie’s backstory, and it’s to the show’s credit that it goes as dark as it does. Sax bottoming out gives Christopher Meloni some of his best material this season, even if the misery gets exhausting. Worth sitting through, but maybe not right before bed.
