Episode Summary & Review
Summary
With Tucker in a coma and demon activity on the rise, Gary’s job is harder than ever. With funding at all time low and danger at an all time high, the Ministry hires an intern, Mudge, who is of no help at all.
Our Take
A solid return that leans on Gary’s exhaustion as the whole joke, which mostly works because his deadpan misery is still funny. Mudge the useless intern is a promising addition, though a few gags stretch past their welcome. It’s a low-key premiere that sets up the season without doing much heavy lifting, and fans should be satisfied.
