Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Josh is kidnapped by Athena, a member of a secret terrorist organization called The Pointed Circle. His mission to save the world didn’t work. Stu Camillo, now in power, created the cure, and humanity is more divided than ever. Oh, and it’s the year 2162.
Our Take
The season two premiere spends a lot of time resetting the board, and the 150-year time jump means most of the old dynamics are gone. Josh flailing through a world that moved on without him is funny in spots, and Haley Joel Osment’s Stu is a welcome weirdo addition. It’s a decent setup hour, but it leans on exposition more than laughs.
