Summary
Even as his subordinates are scattered, Mustang finds he still has allies – unfortunately, so do his enemies. The Homunculi unleash one of the Ishvalan War’s most notorious killers to deal with Scar and Marcoh.
Our Take
A slower, talkier episode that spends most of its runtime positioning pieces for the bigger fights ahead. Mustang’s sidelining gives some fun smaller character moments, and the promise flashbacks land nicely, but the new killer’s introduction feels rushed. Fine as connective tissue, just don’t expect the momentum of recent weeks.
