Episode Summary & Review
Summary
The Elrics scuffle with Ling Yao and his attendants, Lan Fan and Fu, visitors from Xing seeking the Philosopher’s Stone. Ed may not like him, but Ling Yao’s not leaving until he gets what he wants.
Our Take
A mostly comedic pit stop that introduces Ling and his bodyguards, and the fight scenes are genuinely fun even if the episode itself feels like setup. Ling’s cheerful mooching off Ed gets old fast, but Lan Fan and Fu hint at something more interesting underneath. Fine as a breather after last week’s heavy material, just don’t expect much forward momentum.
