Summary
A mysterious new pirate with terrifying abilities, known as the Mule, catches the attention of the Foundation and Empire.
Our Take
The season opener gets a lot right, mostly by slowing down and letting the political tension breathe before the fireworks. The Mule makes an appropriately unnerving first impression, and the visual scale is as ridiculous as ever, in a good way. It’s mostly setup, but it’s confident setup, and the new season feels like it has a clear direction. Worth your time.
