Summary
Gaal Dornick leaves her life in Synnax behind when the galaxy’s greatest mathematician, Hari Seldon, invites her to Trantor.
Our Take
A gorgeous but occasionally chilly opener that spends a lot of money making its empire feel enormous. Jared Harris grounds the spectacle, Lou Llobell makes a solid entry point, and the visuals genuinely impress for TV. The pacing stalls in the middle stretch, but the world-building payoff is strong enough to pull you into episode two.
