Summary
After Martin offers him a job performing back breaking manual labor, Jeff’s life begins to turn around…until he stumbles upon a dangerous secret.
Our Take
A surprisingly strong pivot that finally gives the season some forward momentum. The deadpan workplace humor lands better when there’s actual stakes underneath it, and the animation continues to do a lot with Mars’s oppressive emptiness. Some bits stretch too long, but the ending hits hard. Easily the best episode so far and a good reason to stick with the show.
