Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Bernice decides they’re going to act together as a family. For their first activity together, she invites the neighbors over for the monthly meeting of the block association. When a home security expert shows up, his pitch gets Duckman to buy the most elaborate security system, the “Interlopen Fuhrer 2000”, which of course doesn’t do the job and then Duckman fixes it…
Our Take
A solid mid-season episode that leans on Duckman’s paranoia and cheap instincts, and Jason Alexander sells every bit of panic. The escalating security system gags are funny for a while, though the back half runs out of steam once the joke has fully played out. Worth a watch if you like the show’s fast, mean-spirited humor, but it’s not one of the season’s stronger outings.
