This is Dead Like Me at its most confident, letting George’s first celebrity reap play out with the show’s usual mix of dark humor and unexpected sadness. The rock star material is fun, but the family stuff with Reggie gives the episode real weight and keeps it from feeling like a gimmick. A strong hour that fans of the show’s tone will eat up.
