Episode Summary & Review
Summary
George and Rube are forced to confront family members from their past.
Our Take
A surprisingly emotional way to close out the season, letting the grim reaper premise get personal instead of clever. The scenes with Rube’s family history land the hardest, giving Mandy Patinkin room to actually break your heart. It’s slower than a typical episode and some of George’s storyline feels like retreading, but the emotional payoff makes it worth sticking around for.
