Summary
It’s Family Day at Greendale Community College and the gang’s families come to campus to join in the fun. Meanwhile, Jeff agrees to help Pierce connect with his stepdaughter Amber. Things take an interesting twist when Amber shows an interest in Jeff.
Our Take
Family Day gives everyone a relative to bounce off, and most of the pairings land, especially Shirley’s awkward history with Chang and Troy bonding with Abed’s dad over weird small talk. The Pierce stepdaughter plot leans on a tired Jeff seduction angle, but it still gets good mileage out of Chevy Chase’s wounded ego. A solid mid-season episode with enough laughs to justify the runtime.
