Informed that this year’s All Valley Karate Tournament is being canceled, the three competing sensei attend a city council meeting to save it.
Our Take
A surprisingly talky hour that leans on courtroom-style theatrics instead of fights, and mostly gets away with it. The three-way dynamic between Johnny, Daniel, and Kreese keeps things lively, though the council scenes run a bit long and the teen subplot feels like filler. Worth watching for the ending alone, which sets up the back half nicely.
